College Scholars annually awards scholarships.
- Rippey Scholarships are awarded to applicants based on merit and financial need. Students must be participants in College Scholars, have a CAS major (or be undeclared), and have completed the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). More information on the FAFSA can be found at The Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships. Based on the FAFSA, the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships will determine each students financial need. This award is distributed in two parts. The first half is disbursed at the beginning of fall term. The second half or balance of the award is disbursed spring term provided the student has participated in the College Scholars program during the year, and maintained an overall GPA of 3.5 or greater.
- College Scholars Merit Awards are smaller awards that are based on academic achievement. Students must be participants in College Scholars and have a CAS major (or be undelclared). This award is disbursed in one lump sum at the beginning of fall term.
Applications are due April 8th and award notifications will be announced by May 4th. The application must include: (1) a statement describing the applicants study focus and future plans, (2) the names and email addresses of two UO faculty recommenders, and (3) a current unofficial transcript. Priority will be given to students who are currently in their first year at the UO, but excellent students from any year will be considered if funds are available.
